The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices. To find the IMEI number for your BlackBerry device enter *#06# into the keypad and it will be displayed on your screen.

The IMEI number consists of fifteen characters all digits.

You can find the PRD Code on the white/silver sticker underneath the battery. The PRD is usually 13 digits i.e. PRD-XXXXX-XXX (where each X is a number).

The easiest method to read your Blackberry's MEP code is using the reader applications. Download for your OS, unzip and follow the instructions:

1. Connect the Blackberry phone to computer using the original USB cable
2. Start the Blackberry Logger application
3. Click "Read Blackberry Handset Info"

First choose network provider's country and when list with providers has loaded, choose the provider the phone is locked to. This method will you give up to 3 codes to choose. One of them is the working code. In most cases all will unlock, you just have to enter one of them. Remember the country of the provider where the phone is locked to.
